If anyone has access to these censuses would they mind looking up if any of the Cockbone/Cockburn clan were still living in the Dale. |

It may be wise to amend the thread title - 1841 and 1851 Dent are on Yorkshire census discs, not Cumbria. |

Hi Jim They are not in Dent in 1851 Thes are the marriagesge I have found for Dent COCKBANE, Richard Marr 1682 Engl York Dent Sp: Sarah NELSON COCKBONE, Jennet Marr 1714 Engl York Dent Sp: William SWINBANCK COCKBONE, Thomas Marr 1715 Engl York Dent Sp: Margret GUY COCKBONE, Elisabeth Marr 1745 Engl York Dent Sp: James ALLEN COCKBONE, Isabel Marr 1749 Engl York Dent Sp: William EDMUNDSON Will Lokk in 1841 census for you tomorrow Bren |

Thank you Bren, The Jennet Cockbone is a GxAunt and Thomas who married Margaret Guy is a 6th ggfather. Could I ask you please to recheck the marriage of Richard to Sarah NELSON because I have her down as Sarah NIXON. Thanks again, Jim |
