Hi every one Quick question about an address, I have just recieved a Birth cert for a Cicely Sophia Ryman born 16/07/1887. She was born at 35 Kingston Street Walworth. Does any one know where this is, i Know it was in surrey back then but just wondered if its still there or classed as a different area. I have googled the name with out much luck. all the best Corrina

Walworth is an area in South London, between Elephant and Castle and Camberwell. This could well have been classed as Surrey in the past. Louise

me again, i have looked on old maps and the only ones i can find are in yorkshire (relating to kingston street) it isnt on multi map apart from the darlington one. found walworth in surrey no kingston street. Any one got any ideas?? corrina

Hello, I found a Kingston Street in Walworth , (South East London) in 1899. It is mentioned in Booth's Notebooks - Charles Booth undertook a social survey in late 1890's. Hope this clears it up.
