I've just seen someone in the Lincs 1851 census at Branston: Whon't tell his Name 23 Farm Servant, Lincs Scamblesby (That's the enumerator's spelling!) |

There's a whole chunk in the 1851 Lancs (I think it's that one!) where they've just used people's initials. Its not a workhouse or a hospital, just bog standard streets. Keep praying none of mine turn up in that area! Lou |
