1871 census lookup please

in the 1871 census there is a family called brook living in oxford terrace,hull yorkshire george age 42 mary age 41 plus 7 children thomas,james,phoebe,rebecca,matilda,minnie,and ann eliza, could some one do a look up to find out their proffesions thanks Julie

I thought is was something like Ry Lighterman. What the Ry is I don't know, or is it Rif Lighterman? cheers

George is a Lighterman James - Housemason Do you have him in 1881? Does the profession match? Oh..General labourer in 1881, not helpful :) Sam

thanks everyone i thought it says lighterman too, whatever that is? yes it matches john thomas or thomas as a bricklayer in 1881 thanks again, if you know of a site for lightermen do you have an address julie
