hi all.victor..she is on the 1871 census but on 1881 theres ann(wife) and a step daughter plus two morw siblings listed as son to ann and robert. you can only presume they are man and wife as thats what the census said,not 100% she died but robert did maybe remarry so ? jools think it could be the chorlton one as its in the man area and around the right age?! roderick(diane) thankyou. cheers to you all much appreciated.x |

Do you know for certain that Robert re-married ? If so was he a widdow when he re-married ? How do you know she died ? cheers Victor |

If she died between 1871 and 1881 then, if her death was registered, it should be on familyrelatives. Likewise, so should the marriage (if they did marry) Did you limit the search area or just do it on name? |

sorry to trouble you...could anyone possibly help find deaths for Martha Jane watson (nee Street) b.1831 in manchester.know she married Robert hornby watson in manchester cathederal 18.3.1853.last have her on 1871 man census aged 40 but by 1881 robert had remarried Ann(nee worthington)their eldest child was born 1878c so gives the range of death 1871-1877. cant find a marriage for ann and robert to narrow it further.would appreciate any help,its doing my head in and being easter hols dragging 3 kids with me to man records office would be a nightmare more so for them lol.thankyou kindly.x oh looked on family search and free bmd but nothing upto now. |
