I would appreciate someone looking up Esther Hannah Windsor born 1835 in Bristol. She will be with husband James Windsor but whether there are children I don't know. She will possibly be in Armley/Bramley/Holbeck area. She married in Leeds 1856 and in 1851 was a servant in Leeds. Thank you in advance. Susan

Is this the Esther H Glyde whose marriage took place 1856 at St Phillips, Wellington Street, Leeds? I've nothing on my indexes which looks like it's going to help with this one. Not much, but better than nothing. Is she still in Yorkshire in 1871 and if so have you piece/folio etc??

I have no idea where James Windsor was born, as I have found no information on him other than he is my great-great grandfather and that, yes, he married Esther Hannah in 1856 in Leeds (I have their marriage certificate). I thought I had them on the 1871 Census but I don't and I couldn't find it today on Ancestry. James died in 1878 and so by 1881 Esther is a widow and living in Armley. As my great grandmother, also Esther, was born Armley abt. 1864 they could have moved anytime between their marriage in 1856 and Esther jr.'s birth in 1864. I don't know if she was the eldest child. The ref. for the 1881 Census is RG11, Piece 4509, Folio 12. They were living in 13 Eyres Mill Side, Armley, Yorks. By 1891 Esther Hannah was living in Armley - 30 Shotbury? Street. Reg RG12/3682, Ed. 44, Folio 68, Page 6. By 1901 an elderly Esther was living with my great-grandparents and my grandmother. I hope this isn't too confusing. The Windsors you have found on Yorkshire BMD are some of the people that I have kept an eye on. You have helped by pinpointing the area of Leeds I should be looking at. I hoped that the 1861 and 1871 Census would tell me where James was born. I have assumed before where someone was born and made an expensive mistake by ordering certificates!!
