Many many thanks you may not have been able to find george but you have given me material to work with which is a start I am grateful I am suspecting George may have already been in dorset by 1851 teresa

Thank you both those names from Martin no doubt fit somewhere - still no sign of my george but much to work with so I am very grateful. So far nearly all my research has been Norfolk based so I was at a bit of a loss when I suddenly had to go away from that county. Thanks for all the help teresa

Thanks Shirley that looks very promising - I have just found out that Hannah died in Dibden in 1871 less than a year after the birth of the youngest child emily - George remarried in 1874 to Mary King. I can now at least find out his father by that marriage - still searching for the one with Hannah. The 1851 census has a George and harriett Flemington living in Long Crichton Dorset too old to be my couple but I wonder if they may be Georges parents Teresa

Hi Teresa This is the only name that came up for Harry with parents George and Hannah on the BIVRIndex CDs. Please can anyone help me find members of this family prior to 1871 ----------- George Flemington born abt 1825 Wiltshire place looks to be Marten - his wife according to 1871 census is Hannah born 1821 Long Critchel Dorset but 1881 has her name as Mary and birth place dibden Hants so possibly a second marriage children are -- Charlotte Harriett born 1853 Lee Hants -- John 1857 dibden -- mary 1860 Lee Hants --- harry 1863 Lee hants --- Georgina 1865 Woodley hants --- William 1866 Dibden - emily 1871 Dibden. I have no access to any records prior to 1871 can anyone help get me on track - There are a couple of Georges on Family search that might fit the bill but no real proof. Please help teresa
