Please could someone see if they could find the birth entry for this young man please: PERCY WARREN born 1898c in Deptford (reg districts probably lewisham or greenwich) I am really desparate to find this out as he was killed at the battle of Loos in 1915 and I am sure he was underage. I feel really connected to this one who was my second cousin. I'd appreciate any help at all Thanks Pat

Deptford is in Kent/London. Considered to be London now though.

Thankyou so much Gweneth. I cross ref the free Bmd entry you found with family search and that was the right one! Percival sydney warren was born 19 nov 1897, he was a boy soldier and just 17 when he died, two months after his 19 yr old brother . how sad. But what hero's grateful thanks Pat

Deptford appears as Kent in most old census (or Kenya, if you get certain ancestry transcribers). Islington would be over the other side of the river.
