Does anyone know ...... how much information is actually in the index books ? Does it give you name, date of birth and parents name. June |

Hi, If you mean the GRO index books you get the same as you do on 1837online or freebmd - name, Quarter, registration district, volume and page. For any more you have to buy the certificate. Gwynne |

After 1911 the index includes mother's maiden name. |
