Thanks to you all for looking for me. Yes that's the right family but now I need to find out where he was in 1861, have any of you got that info? I'll put another request out if you have'nt. Thanks again anyway I'm really grateful. Janet.

Thanks Kathy, but think they both the wrong ones. I have found when looking on later cencus returns to just put in Lancashire as place of birth not Hale. Can you try that. My William Turton will have been about 27 in 1871. Thanks again Janet.
