Hi im stuch yet again lol, i have a walter hope on 1871 onwards and marriage says he was born west firle sussex 1845, however on ancestry plus and bmd sites it cant give me the the birth numbers to order his b/cert as it was unreadable, i have no access to the sussex 1851 or 61 so i can see if i can find him as i would like to know who his parents were etc, grrrrrrrrrrr lol,i know he married louisa sandles in sussex 1867, any one got any ideas how i can get his b/cert? many thanks kim |

Kim If you apply to the local register office, you don't need a reference number, only the name and birth year. They will usually check a couple of years either side as well. Chrissie |
