I have searched allsorts now to find Walter and Elizabeth's marriage and have got no joy at all. Would anyone be able to help me at all look for this? Many thanks, Claire

Hi, familyrelatives.org is indexed for the years you need. It's a pay to view site but worth the money if you find it. Gwynne

No matches 1895 - 1920. Were they married in 1901?

FreeBMD is quite complete between 1900 - 1911, have you looked there ? Elaine :-) But they may have married well before or even after the birth.

What is Walter (Fathers) occupation on the Birth cert ? ... we may be able to trace him on 1901 Census for you. Elaine :-)

I all, i have tried the Walter King's in Sheffield in 1901 and there is only one that fits but he is 50. He is an iron moulder on William's birth certificate. I dont have a clue what year they married in. I have tried freebmd from 1881 through to 1901 and no matches for both names in the same quarter. I am sorry this is not much to go on. Regards, Claire

I've just scanned FreeBMD, but no sign anywhere. 1880 - 1912. The only other thing to consider is that one or other of the parents name isn't 100% correct. Maybe they are middle names ... I have known this happen before. Name known as, being put on certs, rather than ACTUAL names. Elaine :-)

Thank you to all of you, there is certainly plenty here for me to go on, unfortunately, my nan who is still alive is not very good at remembering much about her father! I appreciate all your time. Claire
