Find out if an ancestor of yours appears in our births, marriages and deaths notices, or even in a news story. Read contemporary accounts of events such as: the Highland Clearances; the Burke and Hare trial; the inauguration of the Wallace Monument.' The archive will soon be extended up to 1950 and eventually to the present day.
