Wife was Sophia Attwell from Meavy aged 22 They had 5 children according to the 1871 Census but only information on ggg was his name and his profession labourer

If you can supply a little more information, for instance his wife's name, then I may be able to find them on Ancestry (1871 census). That should give the place of birth, from which further checks can be made.
