Birth lookup please

Hi. Could some kind soul please look for the birth / baptism of William Watson born c 1874 on his marriage cert and c1877 on the 1901 census. According to the 1901 census he was born in Sunderland. His fathers name was Robert Watson. I have tried on IGI but with no luck. There are a number of possibilities on BMD but of course that does not give parents names. Thankyou Alyson |

Hi Rosemary. Yes this man is driving me around the bend. No wonder i am going grey. All this to try and find out when he died and where he is buried as i have a flight arranged to Durham in May so i am rappidly running out of time. It could be any one of the ones you have listed above. A few people have found Williams on the 1881 and 1891 with a father Robert but with not knowing his true age i am banging my head against a wall. Thankyou Alyson |

I have just spoken to Sunderland register office ( what a nice lady). I explained my dilemma to her and she told me to write to them listing all 13 possibilities with 1 cheque for £7.00 and they would look them all up for me and hopefully there would be only one with a father Robert. At last i feel that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Thankyou All for your help with this. Regards Alyson |
