My grandfather, Robert Williamson, was born Q1 1906 in Cockermouth Cumbria. I have his birth certificate and his mother is entered as Mary Lizzie Lowes. I cannot find any record on any of the major search sites of this lady or her marriage to his father (also Robert Williamson) which I presume took place in the 20 years preceding his birth in 1906. Can anyone help - she is a mystery and the only one of my great-grandparents on both sides I cannot get info on. Thanks - John Williamson

Think this is her in 1901: Name Age in 1901 Birthplace Relationship Civil Parish County/Island View Image Mary E Lowes 17 Carlisle, Cumberland, England Daughter Workington Cumberland Mary Jane Lowes 48 Carlisle, Cumberland, England Head Workington Cumberland Mary E could be Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie?) and if you look at the image, she lives next door to Robert Williamson. I have save the image, let me have your e maill adress is you want it. Sam
