Rosemary, Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I do not know who was living at this address. My great grandmother (born and raised in Manchester) produced her illegitimate son there in 1880. By 1881 she was back in Manchester, so I was trying to determine whether she had been 'sent away' to relatives I know nothing of to have the baby. Just thought it may give me another lead. It isn't the same family at no 26 on the 1881. Sue Living at 26 Elm Street Leeds in 1881 are Michael and Mary Eden and family. You should be able to trace them on the LDS or Ancestry site. In case you are wondering I have the discs which makes address searches quite easy. Hope it helps. Susan |

Sue - I've checked the image - the ones born Riyder or Rigter - the place of birth is Ryther - it is near Selby. |
