I am desperate for the service records of my ggrandfather William James Albon, which I hope will give me his date of birth, so that I can be sure I am following the right William Albon. He served in the 18th Hussars before and during WW1. The catelogue reference for the staff lists of the 18th Hussars between 1920- 1935 is WO 100/420. I'm not sure however if he was still serving at this time. He died 1947. I would be very grateful if someone could do this look up for me next time visiting Kew. kind regards Denise |
