Hi i am hoping that someone can help me find my Great Granddads first wife Rachel ? born Tipton/Dudley age 15 years in 1861. I dont know if anyone can help with out a surname but thought i would give it a try. Fingers crossed , Regards Shaz |

According to 1871 Census, there is a Rachel Willings age 25,(b.1846, Dudley, Worcs.), married to a Thomas Willings (b.1850, Old Hill, Staffs.),a blacksmith, living at her parents house, 28 Hall St., Tipton, Wednesbury,Staffs. Her parents are Thomas Beasmore age 52,(b.1819, Sedgley, Staffs), a miner, and Mary Ann age 57,(b.1814, Dudley, Worcs.) Hope this helps. You may find some help from the Cotswold Census (www.members.shaw.ca). It's a long while since I've been to that site and cannot rightly remember if Dudley is in there or not. Good luck, COLIN. |

Hi & Thanks Colin for the info, but sadly this is not the Rachel that i am looking for. I guess i should have stated that Rachel was married in the 1871 census to a Thomas Baker living in Harborn Worcestershire. By 1881 living in Harborn but this time classed in Staffordshire.Thomas Baker is married to Elizabeth (formly Glover from my Grandmas birth cert). I think i have found the death details of Rachel aged 29 years. But because i could'nt find the aboves marriage cert i thought i would look futher back on the census which is how i found out about him having been married before. I will give that site a look though and see if i can find Dudley There. If any one else can think of anything i would be very greatful, as i seem to be going round in circles. Regards Shaz |
