AAAAARGH! STRUGGLING I HAVE PIECED TOGETHER A BIT OF A FAMILY TREE(WITH LOTS OF HELP) AND HAVE AGAIN HIT A BRICK WALL. NOT ONLY ARE THREE GENERATIONS OF MEN SHARING THE SAME NAME (JAMES YATES) BUT THE FIRST IN MY TREE MARRIED *ELIZABETH MAY BAEU* CAN I FIND HER? NO!!!! IS IT FRENCH? WHO KNOWS! DOES ANYONE KNOW?? HOW WOULD I FIND HER ANYWAY IF IT WAS A FRENCH NAME? WOULD KISS THE BOOTS OF ANYONE WHO CAN HELP!!!!! (WELL....)

There are a few Elizabeth Beau on the 1881 census . Are you sure the spelling in correct. Sue

Hi Louise, my advice would be definitely to look under ALL variations of that spelling. I have a similar name in my tree and you would be absolutely amazed at how many variations have come up from enumerators spelling/understanding of what was told to them. Good luck with that. Jan
