Hi, I hope you're all having a good sunny friday afternoon! Just trying to track down the following on earlier census to the 1871 one! I have Ann Townend b c1813, married to James Parkin b c1812 Both were born in Liversedge, but have settled down in Victoria Street, Batley, the usual pile of kids by 1871 - So far, no joy in tracking them back any earlier to give me some clue as to their parents or siblings... I think I need to invest in some earlier census CD sets...Any for sale out there at a reasonable price??? Regards, and TIA Martin

Hi Sue, The only thing(s) I know for sure is that in 1871 they were living in Batley - , and at the time of their birth they were in Liversedge The address in Batley was Victoria Street - the ref from the 1871 census was RG10 4584 , I'm afraid that apart from that, it'll be pot luck... He was in his 50s by the 1871, so it'd be safer to start in the same place I guess! Thanks Martin
