Hi Wendy I think you may be able to help. I've put a request on this board which no one else has answered so here goes. I'm looking for George(Frederick)Clare who was born in 1816 in Bygrave Herts. He moved to Huntingdon and is on the 1841 and 1851 census with his wife Fanny. She died in 1860 so i was wondering if you can find him on the 1861 census as I think he remarried in 1862 and this may give me some clues. He was either a grocer or a maltster.Any info would be really great. Thanks.

Hi Wendy If you could throw any light on the following I would be very grateful....I will give you all the info that I have. Frances Bull ......born c 1800 .......baptised 19/01/1801 All Saints and St John's Huntingdon. Her parents were Bartholomew Bull and Frances Cater, they were married 31/10/1796 at St Matthew, Bethnal Green. Frances' siblings were Amy Furley Bull bap 13/02/1805, Sarah Bull bap 13/02/1809 and Mary Bull bap 22/11/1810 all at All Saints Huntingdon I know that Frances was working in Derbyshire prior to and following her marriage to Thomas Towle ( from Derbyshire) at Huntingdon in 1820 I believe that Frances died in 1858 on Derbys/ Notts border What I would like to know is what did her parents do and where did they live in Huntingdon ? Hi Roy, I have found these details for you: In 1881 census William Cropley age 37 (B 1844) wife Margaret (b 1960 in Waterbech, daughter Florence (B 1874), son Water J (B 1868), son William John (B 1866), all living in Ludgate Village, Suffolk which is part of Waterbech. On 1891 census William John living in Basford Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border, wife Alice age 27 born Chesterfield, son William aged 2 and Charles aged 7. Florence, I can only find that she married Moses Birken in Basford during Dec 1893, no other details. WalterJ, on 1891 census was also living in Basford with wife Eliza A age 21 born Little Downham Cambs, son Henry age 1 and William J age 3 Elizabeth Brooks b c.1860, there are only two that I can find, one family on the 1871 census all born in Cambridge but parents Richardb in Leeds and Harriett b in Liverpool, the other family were born in Cambridge but resided in Newcharch, Lancashire so not much there unless you have further details Elizabeth Brooks b 1840, there are several of that name in various parts of Cambridgeshire so you need more details on that name too. I hope this gives you a few threads regards Wendy

Hi Wendy many thanks for your kind offer. I wonder if you could help me out with this one. Trying to find children of James Darwin Jackson and Jane (nee George) - their marriage took place on 19/01/1836 at Godmanchester, Huntingdon, (Cambs?) - James Darwin Jackson was born 23/12/1809 in Lincoln. Don't know where they went after marriage. I wonder if they might appear on the 1841 census for Huntingdon and/or if there may be any other records relating to these two and their children? Hope you can help. Kind regards Jackie

Hi Wendy, I hope you are getting better. If it is possible for you to go there. I am looking for a marriage record of Thomas Joyce around 1802 at St Noets in Huntingdon. His wife might be Mary Filsell. Could you please check it and see if there have a full date and any parents of theirs in the marriage record? Regards, Steven from Melbourne, Australia.
