Can anyone help my aunt she is trying to find the birthdate and parents of both her and her husband's ancestors, between us we have manged to get back to the late 1700's but are now stuck. We know that Christopher Brotherton married Mary Brown on the 8th June 1817 at Haunton Le Skern Durham, but cannot find Christopher's date of Birth or his parents. also John Hanby/Harnby/Hornby (various records have different spellings of the surname) m Elizabeth Hauxwewll on 8th April 1801 in Yorkshire but again no birthdate or parents. Can anyone supply any information on these two families both of whom seem to travel between Yorkshire and Durham. WE can go forward but not backwards and help would be much appreciated.
