Judith, Those must be them, since Richard has just e.mailed me with the parents Richard & Suzannah. Richard, It works best if you reply to this thread ... then everyone can see the information and you get several hundred folks searching for you ! rather than just me who didn't do very well !!! LoL. If your at all unsure ..? just click on 'Add REPLY' up at the top of this page in dark blue, and then type your reply in the box and press ADD MESSAGE underneath. You may already know ... sorry if you do, but we had a prob last week where as the person who wrote the thread just didn't know how to answer on the boards and there were 7 of us getting different e.mails with different info ..! Hope this helps ! Elaine :-)

As you know Robert's birthdate and place do you have his birth certificate? Parents names would help the census search. I found this family on 1881 Richard BLOOMFIELD Head M Male 27 Wolverhampton Edge Tool Maker Sushanna BLOOMFIELD Wife M Female 25 Wolverhampton Robert BLOOMFIELD Son U Male 2 Wolverhampton Wondered whether Broomfield had been mistranscribed as Bloomfield, but the same family are in Aston Birmingham in 1891, still recorded as Bloomfield: Bloomfield, Richard 37 Wolverhampton, Staffordshire Head Aston Warwickshire Edge Tool Maker Bloomfield, Susannah 36 Wolverhampton, Staffordshire Wife Aston Warwickshire Bloomfield, Robert 12 Wolverhampton, Staffordshire Son Aston Warwickshire Scholar Bloomfield, Thomas 4 Wolverhampton, Staffordshire Son Aston Warwickshire Bloomfield, Harriet S 2 Wolverhampton, Staffordshire Daughter Aston Warwickshire Bloomfield, Joseph 2/12 Birmingham, Warwickshire Son Aston Warwickshire

Hi Richard, I just tried to find him on the 1881 Census ( which is free to view online ) but he's not showing .. maybe he's been mistranscribed. I would ask for a lookup on the 1891 Census ( aged approx 12 ? ) he may still be living with his parents. Have you got his parents names by any chance from his birth certificate ? It could be that his name isn't Robert ? I will go back and check the 1881 for you. Elaine :-) The 1881 isn't available at the moment 'due to maintenance' so it says. Are you aware of the FamilySearch/LDS/IGI site ? http://www.familysearch.org if you type this address into your search bar it will take you straight to the site.
