Cecil Horace Hammond born in Brighton in 1902 I am trying to find Cecil Hammond, I know he was born in Brighton in 1902 and his fathers name was George Hammond. Cecil lived at Richmond Hill Brighton in 1926 and was a chemist's porter when he married Annie Rose Emma Jacob(s). They where married in Brighton on 5th Aug 1926. They definatley had 3 daughters: Barbara - born 1927 brighton Maisie - born 1928 brighton Marion - born circa 1930's unknown I also believe that they had another daughter Elsie - born 1947 Luton and a son Ron - born 1945 Luton (Cecil is listed as the father on the birth certs but family rumor states that they may have a different father) During the war Barbara & Masie were evacuated to Gravenhurst, Bedfordshire. Annie and the children later moved to Dumfries Street, Luton (we think via a stay in London and not sure if Cecil moved with Annie or not) Cecil left Annie for her best friend Janet (Robinson? Robins?) I think Cecil may have married Janet and may have changed his surname to hers and / or his first name from Cecil to Jack. There were children but not sure if they were Janets from a previous relationship or from this relationship. Annie had a twin sister - Agnes winifred who married walter akehurst. Their Father was Henry Jacob and stepmother edith may thorpe Cecil is my grandfather and the missing link in my family tree so any help would be very welcome |
