Trying to find Hardisty

Nora Yule (nee Hardisty) I am trying to find the birthplace of Joseph Hardisty b about 1803. His wife was Ann. In 1851 She and the children were living in All Saints Manchester. He is not shown on the census so he was possibly deceased by then. The children were--- Charles,Peter,Sarah Ann, and Joseph. These children all worked in the cotton mills, But I have reason to believe that Joseph was a blacksmith.It would be great to find a link somewhere.

Would love to compare notes with you as I am researching the Hardisty name and have a website which you can find by googling Hardisty.

Not sure if I can help with Joseph but I have you and your brother listed an your parents.

Hi Nora,

After looking at some of my notes I have a Joseph Hardisty marrying Ann Fox on 19 may 1827 at Cathedral Manchester, do you think this is your relation.

Between 1800 and 1860's there were quite a few Hardisty's married at Cathedral Manchester (copied the way it was written) and I have been trying to establish connections with my tree. My information comes from www.familysearch,.org

This seems very likely. The date seems to fit and family stories tell of weddings in the cathedral.
