I am searching for information for my family tree... my grand mother Annie Elizabeth Humphreys/Jennings lived on the wirral cheshire in the 1940's she had already had 3 children twins lillian and Robert and 1 unknown. The twins as i have been told was about 20 years old. As i am aware our Grandfather George Henry Burghall met our grandmother somewhere in 1940's and they did not marry. she had 1 son to geroge henry his name was george edward burghall D.O.B 31st january 1947 They all lived at 44 Rankin Street, Poulton Wallasey, Merseyside until george henry and annie split up. Our Grandmother did not take my father with her when she and George Henry split I don’t know why all i know they split on domestic issues. please email me if you can help in any way as i cant research on my grandmother any other way as my father has now died thanks

Was Annie's maiden name Humphreys?

Did she marry a Mr Jenkins? I

What surname did Lillian and Robert have?

Just trying to get it straight in my head before I have a look on freebmd

according to my fathers birth certifacate annie's maden name is humphreys

so i would think lillian and robert's surname may be jennings

So have I got this right?

Annie's maiden name was Humphrey? When was she born?

Did she marry a Mr Jennings? when and where?

Did she then marry Mr Burghall? If it is Burghall on your dad's birth certificate then it sounds like she was married to the father.

freebmd website is useful for marriages, births etc before 1920 ish. Nothing on there for 1940's.

name and surname of father...
George Henry Burghall.

name, surname and maden surname of mother..
Annie Elizabeth Jennings Formerly Humphreys

i think she was born 1906 birkenhead, cheshire, merseyside. as this is the only one i can find.

they lived in poulton, wallasey, merseyside
my father was born 1947. and they was living in Rankin street, poulton when he was born.

Jennings William H Humphreys Birkenhead 8a 1131
