I was born Farrell, but our surname was O'Farrell, from County Longford, Ireland. Would love to hear from anyone with that name. Judy. |

yes i am from the clare county in ireland my great great grandfather born 1809 his fathers name was not on the record of birth and his mothers birth was never recorded so it has made it hard also there are stories which i find feasible that his name which he went under here in australia [migrated here to south australia possibly went straight to kapunda] is a derivative of his original surname which i beleive is either devaney, devanny, or devinny here in south australia he went under the name McAvaney his name was johnathon james mcavaney he migrated here in 1840 hoping you can help me christine read [nee mcavaney] |
