This is the only Joseph I could find

This would appear to be him on 1881 census. Plumstead was in Woolwich registration district

Believed to have been born c1850 and served as a dragoon guard. Father of Jospeh William Chesham b1877 and married Mabel Ellen Harper 1907 (Joseph the son was the Beckenham town postman in 1908).

Any information regarding Joseph Chesham senior - where born, lived, marrried etc. in particular what regiment he served with would be very helpful.
