Can anyone look up a marriage for me please
I am trying to trace my GF's first wife.

The marriage would have taken place between an EDWARD WOODGATE b 1886 and FLORENCE ?. The marriage could have happened in London, Brighton or Ripon and between 1906 and 1918. She was meant to have died between 1914-18.
I had an address for her 17 St marys Gate Ripon Yorkshire.
The 1901 census doesnt have any Florence living there.

Thanks for any help

Can we assume that you have looked for the marriage on freebmd?

No, its a mystery.
He listed his address as 118 Leyton rd Stratford but hers is listed as Ripon, as if they were separated or she lived with her parents,
He was from Hove originally.

What document have you got with the addresses on?

Just wondering about a death in 1918 for a Florence L in West Hame and a possible marriage for an Albert E Woodgate in 1915 in Edmonton.

Its his war records.
And yes I have ploughed through BMD for all three areas and nothing. I did wonder about Florence L in West Ham but I can't be sure. But no he wasnt an Albert E, he had no middle name at all.
Rumour was she died with a child in WW1 either from childbirth or influenza. But no one alive now to verify.
