Gloucestershire 7th Bn Regiment 1914-1918

This regiment was in Galipolli in WW1.Most of them died and they were also left fighting with all officers and sergents killed. My Gt. grandfather, John Thomas Walters was one of them. No one seems to talk about the men in Galipolli, not just the Gloucesters, but other regiments as well. Have anyone else out there lost relitives in these battles? or anyone got a photograph of the 7th bn Gloucesters from 1914 to 1915 ,the time with my grandfather, I have no photographs of him and like all men of the time, he is someone to be proud of. I have tried the regiment history place in Gloucester. |
