Great!
Now you've said it I can see it does say Exhaustion, not puerperal though, still I am half way there! Thanks Sam!
Now I have
Anaemia
2 caused (?) hs(?)
P..t or d usition
9 days
Exhaustion.
My scanner has vanished (don't ask but its to do with having a teenager in the house)
Looks as though my following childbirth hunch was right and sadly the little baby died too.
Any other guesses on the other word?
Thanks again Sam x
Chris

Death due to childbirth was usually Puerperal exhaustion. Do you have a scanner so that you could email the image?

I had a hunch that my Annie may have died in childbirth because I found a birth and death of a child with the same surname as Annies all in the same quarter. I sent for Annies death cert which came today but I cannot read it!!
Cause of death says Anaemia the 2 cause ...hs..
P..dusit(?) io.n.orse 9 days E..tiou..tioser.
I think this may mean anaemia following childbirth but I am only guessing, does anyone out there know any medical terms to describe this that may fit the bill! If I am barking up the right tree!
Thank You
Chris

UPDATE Have just googled and found a glossary and the word parturition came up, I think it might be that!
