Trying to trace Connon side of family tree

Hi,

Trying to trace my ancestors on my maternal grandfather's side - my granfather was William Low Connon (1946-1996), son of George Connon (c1876-1965) and that is as far as I can get!

I have found details on the 1881 census of a William Connon (born abt 1846) and was a ship's carpenter, married to Ann (born abt 1844) and had two boys - George (born c1876) and Robert (born c1879) lodging with Hughes family at 46 Cotton Street, London Middlesex which could tie in, but no-one in the family remembers anything about George's parents or siblings so no confirmation there!

Anyone out there able to shred any more light onthis?
