I am having trouble finding John Cotton born 1829 (+/- 1 yr) Sunderland on 1841 census. I have got him from 1851 onwards but need to find him on 1841 to establish his parents, siblings etc. He is a young married man on 1851. My eyes are nearly dropping out my head staring at these John Cottons but I am unable to find any on 1841 census for Sunderland/Durham. Anyone fancy having a go please? |

You absolute angel - yes I am certain this is him, particularly as the names of the siblings are names which have carried on through the family. Thank you very much. |
