Thank you Rose for doing the look up for me. I hadn't thought that he could have died in New Zealand. I will look into that.

Yes that is Sarahs family in 1861. Thank you for all the info.

No sign of her in 1871 or 1881. I think they must have left before then. Explains why there's no death listed in England for Edward.

Hi

Edwards occupation in 1863 on his marriage cert was Chemist. I do not have access to the 1871 census so I don't know whether he is anywhere to found on that.

Thanks.

Hi

I am having trouble trying to find the death of a Edward Richard Perks.

Edward married Sarah Riley Taylor in 1863 in the Parish of Bishop Ryder Birmingham. Sarah emigrated to New Zealand and I have her marrying again in 1890 in NZ. The marriage cert says she was a widow in 1884. Sarah was christened in 1836 and was aged 27 yrs at marriage and Edward was aged 30 yrs, his father William was a plumber and glazier.
Sarahs parents were in Aston Birmingham. I found on the 1881 census a Sarah Perks, widow, aged 58 yrs, furniture broker born Birmingham, Warwickshire. Address was 23 Court 4H Charles Henry St, Aston. With this Sarah was a daughter Jane aged 20 yrs a boot tip presswoman. The age is a bit out but wonder if this could be my Sarah at all. My Sarah was christened at St Leonard Bilston Staffordshire so was not born in Birmingham so maybe I have the wrong lady there. I do not have the passenger list for her coming to New Zealand so cannot pinpoint a date that she may have left England. Sarahs parents were Harriet and Henry Taylor.

Is there anyone with some death records would could look for Edward and see if they can find him as I cannot seem to find him on the free BDM or 1837 online.

Thanks in advance.
