I am trying to find the marriage of John Hurt, I do not know his wife's name, but the marriage would have taken place probably before 1714, which is when his first child was born.
The children only have John Hurt named on their christening records, and they were born in Farnham, Surrey, but there is no marriage for John Hurt at that time in Farnham, so I am trying the nearest area next.
Any help gratefully accepted.

Thank you Anita,
I think it could well be the first one because their first child was called Mary, and the second was called John, presumably after the parents.
Is there any way that you think I can confirm this? Would the original marriage entry detail witnesses, or ages, which parish they came from etc?
Do you have access to that sort of thing?
Thanks again,
Susan
