Member Since: July 2005 Posts: 8 Send Message	John & Mary Ann came to Australia from County Fermanagh Ireland in 1848. John found work as a Shepherd at Yanyangurt Station in the Barwon River area of Geelong Victoria. He met Edward Thomas Bromley from Kent England there and a few years later he went into partnership with Edward in a carrier business. They delivered goods between Geelong and Colac. It is thought that in 1853 John fell from the wagon died and was buried beside the road. Children of John & Mary Ann Sherry nee Wilkin Sarah Jane 1848- 1920 John 1849- 1921 William 1852-1933 Eliza 1853-1928 After his death Mary Ann married Edward Thomas Bromley 16 June 1854. They moved from Geelong to Ballarat in 1862. Children of Edward Bromley & Mary Ann Sherry nee Wilkin Edward 1855-1908 George 1856- James 1859- William 1860-1866 David 1863-1865 Joseph 1863-1913 Margaret 1866-1953 Henrietta 1868-1954 * Twins
