I think you can order by post with a cheque but it will cost £8.50p instead of £7.

You could give them a ring and ask.

Usually about a week, but sometimes when "Who Do You Think You Are" is on TV then it takes a bit longer because everyone suddenly gets into family history.

If you don't know the actual church the marriage took place, you would be better to find the marriaage reference and order online from the GRO at:-

www.gro.gov.uk/content/certificates

I need to send for a marriage certificate. The marriage took place in Chorlton. What registry office do I apply to?
