Could someone please look at a census for me please. I can usually decypher after a while but am a little stuck on this one.

1841 Warrington

James Johnson
Barbara Johnson and children

I'd like to know the address, the childrens names and the wifes occupation.

I think the address is Town Hill and the children possibly
Thomas, William, Andrew and James.

Does it also say they were born in Ireland?

Thanks for your time

Kaz

Yes thats the one, would Jann be his name or shortened from something like the others. Could he be James too.

The father has no occupation but the mother has something and I cand understand this.

Address looks more like Town Hile to me.
James 48 and Barbara 40 born Ireland.
No occupation for James but Barbara is a shoemaker, a mistake?
Thos., 16, shoemaker, born Ireland
Wm., 10
Andrew, 8
James, 3
All born in county i.e. Lancashire.

Yes I see the shoe bit.

Just put on the wrong line then.

On the transcript it says born Lancashire on the original it says Ireland.

I'll try find further census and see what it says

Thanks very kindly for your help
