Hello everyone i have a man (Patrick Cosgrove, 1871) Who had three wives! One to Ann Moran in 1907 and one to Mary Mottershaw in 1930, i do not know when or to whom was the third?

The problem i need help with is to find out how these marriages ended? Did the wife die was there a divorce? How do i find this out? Perhaps he was a bigamist!! Haha! The third marriage may have been between the 2 i know of?

Any help would be brilliant!\ Thankyou, Kelly x

You need to look for deaths of his wives. If he married his second wife in 1930 then you need to look for a death of Ann Cosgrove between 1907-1930.

Same for the other marriage - look through the indexes. If you get his marriage cert to Mary Mottershaw it will should tell you whether he was a widower or not.

Well you see i dont even know if she died whilst married to patrick they may have just split? She may have died many years later?? I just know that between 1907 and 1930 something happened that meant they were not together, as patrick married mary mottershaw in 1930. However, it is also possible that Patrick married again before 1930 and mary was his 3rd wife not his 2nd. As i know that Patrick had a total of 3 wives?

yes i saw that i have jotted it down but i dont know how to prove whether it is him? Do you think i could have a look at the marriage cert at library?? Might hold some clues??
