American records . any info ? violet irene cowlish

Hello all. Is there anyone out there who has access to the american records , either electoral or immigration or i don't know what. And if so would you mind looking up two names for me please please.. This is my aunty and uncle who moved to america (new york i think) in or around 1948-1950. Apparently he was an american gi soldier and they moved there to live. My father (her brother) died when i was a very young age and we don't seem to know a lot about this side of the family at all. It would be lovely to know something about her. |

Yes Sue. She married Alan Cowlish. Her maiden name is Davies. xXx ;o) |

There are very few Cowlishes in the US. Are you sure of the surname? |

I'm not 100 % positive.(sorry its vague) The year maybe different... She may be deceased now and she may have even come back to the uk at some point. But as family info goes. She went there after she got married. She was born in 1921 . she married a soldier from america (apparently) so that would be post war ? about 1945 possibly ? perhaps she married over there !! i was always told it was here though (uk).. sorry to be a pain Rose ;o) xXx |

Alan should be on a census somewhere but there's nothing. There's very little for the surname Cowlish which makes me believe it's not really the correct surname. |

i'm so so so sorry.. Ive just realised that the thread bar at the top has only showed part of the surname. The surname is actually cowlishaw. Their names are Violet irene cowlishaw... Maiden name davies. And the husbands name is Alan cowlishaw.. I typed a long heading i think and its only shown part of the title.. Sorry again rose xxx |

Don't see him in 1930. You could try writing as there's nothing on the death index for either of them. |

Most births and marriages aren't online so there's not much I can do. The death index is kept up to date though and theres nothing for either of them. |

It looks like an Israeli land development insurance place. All the wording is in Arabic though. Maybe he worked there. Or has land there !! Maybe he's an oil barron lol.. I'll have a look over on ancestry and see if i can mooch about .. Cheers Rose xXx maybe something will turn up. |
