Hi,
I really need to find my great grandfathers first wife, he married her in 1891 so I am hoping it will be regestered on that census. He is William Edward Cook born 1862, he re-married in 1905 to Elizabeth Corness. Any info would be gratefully apreciated.
Thanks
Louise x

Ignore the translation names there is another family under the Rourkes - Margaret Fox is a Coal Dealer with 3 Children and her lodger is William Edward Cook, a Carter from Hull.

The children are all born Liverpool
Edmund Fox aged 8
Janet aged 6
Richard aged 3

Sorry it is West Derby, Liverpool.
I have the Marriage Cert for 1905 but just can't find who he married in 1891.
That must be them though Jill, now I have to find out if they had any children which will be quite hard because I think Margaret died before 1901 census. Thank you for everyones help much appreciated.
Many Thanks

Louise

I have posted the 1901 above showing Margaret Cook.

She does not seem to have any Cook children with her.

Her son's birth certificate would hopefully give her name before her marriage to Mr Fox.

Edmund George Fox 1883 Q1 West Derby
County: Lancashire
Volume: 8b
Page: 594

This is pure conjecture of course and can only be proved by certificates, but given Edmunds middle name there is this marriage....

Q2 West Derby Lancashire 8b 639

..............John Fox
...............Margaret George
James Hartley
Charlotte Smith

There is a Margaret George on the census who's father is called Edmund.
