Hi all

I wondered whether it was possible to look up who was in a household in 1946 the address is
3 Belmont Passage
Lawley Street
Aston
Birmingham.

There should be a Joseph Bailey there but am hoping there might be some other Bailey members as helping friend find his lost family and he knows has/had a brother but doesn't know christian name, unfortunately.

Hope someone can help or advise me where to go for this info as not very experienced in researching this time period.

Thanks in advance

Kaz

These are not available online. You need to visit or contact the main library that covers Aston or possibly the Records Office that covers that area.

The only people listed will be those eligle to vote, so definately no children under 18.

Thanks Sam - well i have been putting off a trip to Birmingham library for ages so now have to go follow this up. My friend is 75 in December and we thought it would be a wonderful present for him to find them.

I think if there are any other family members there they would definitely be over 18 as my friend was the youngest.

Thanks

Kaz

Hi Sophie

This brother would have been born in Aston to Joseph and Ann Bailey nee Bailey, they married in 1917 and Ann died giving birth in 1932.

I have had some help on tips with this, we are trawling BMD on ancestry but as my friend has a 'family name' I thought I would start with either Joseph, Henry, John and William. I think we are up to 1921 and Jane did from 32 down to 1927 so hopefully when I get chance will trawl the rest!
