I'd love to know what it says for mothers name and fathers name or even mothers maiden name but i guess i will have to send off for the certificates. Its billy i cant seem to find.

Member Since: July 2004 Posts: 442 Send Message	Hello Everyone, I recently got my grandmother's birth certificate and there is no father on there(im guessing she was illegitimate) but her mother's name is stated as Caroline Elizabeth Bailey. My grandmother was named Ida Bailey and born in 1911 in Sandbach, Cheshire. My Grandma Ida had a half brother who was a bit younger than her and his name was Billy Stubbs (im guessing short for william). My dad says that Ida and Billy had the same mother but different fathers. It then seems that Billy's father got killed (possibly at war) and for whatever reason Billy got put into an orphanage and my grandma Ida ended up looking after him eventually. I dont know if the mother died herself or if she just couldnt cope. There is two other sisters of Ida- Marion and Sarah. I think i've found there births but i cant find anything about billy. Am i just looking in the wrong places? Can anyone help me please? Thanks Hannah
