I am trying to find relations of my great grandmother Honora Lynch who was born in County Clare Ireland around 1840. She came to Australia (Ballarat) at some stage around 1854 and married my Great Grandfather Patrick Dalton in Ballarat in 1856 (this is fact as I have a copy of their marriage record from the Catholic church in Ballarat). They had 10-12 children. Some of the names were Patrick, John, Thomas, Richard, Nell and of course my grandmother Johanna Dalton. Patrick and Honora acquired land in the Wycheproof area of Victoria but eventually moved to Melbourne in the early 1900s once their offspring had grown and moved on. Both are buried in the Brighton Cemetery in Melbourne. |
