I have found the marriage of Sampson Duke b1871 He married 4Q 1892 in Rotherham all that is correct but it states he married Sarah Duke?? could this be correct, i know he married someone called Sarah. Total confusion!! Pamx

Have checked on Ancestry BMD it states Sarah Duke Dec. Qtr 1892 9c 1026


Have found this Sarah on the 1891 census..

It is possible that he married a cousin which was, and still is perfectly legal.

I have a couple of instances of my ancestors marrying cousins.
