Im sorry i have duplicated this thread.

Im new and now realise my error and the duplication of work i have caused.

I am really really grateful for your help and am sincerly sorry for the duplication of work you all have freely done.

My Grandfather Albert George Patient B1899 shows up on the 1901 census with his brothers Walter, Charles, James and sister Lily born in Hackney. Mother shown as Mary Ann Patient who i believe was born in Shoreditch London c1868 but no maiden name and there doesnt seem to be a husband for Mary

Im trying to trace the Patient's back for my mother.

I remember being told we go way back to East Thaxted and then possibly to France !

Anyone can help me i would be really pleased.

Your best bet would be to send for his birth certificate, it will give a fathers name if there is a father and his mothers maiden name too.

I think Mary Ann was previously married and Charles E. is a Rolph not a Patient.

I've just posted a thread saying the same thing, and asking people not to post the same request on more than one board.
