Hi
I was wondering if there is a way to access records Scottish foot soldiers highlanders that were invalided out of the army in a conflict on Corfu.
I am trying find details about my ggg grandfather James Martin who was born in Galloway around 1777 and his wife Elizabeth born around 1779 in Glasgow. They had children but don't know where any where born although two boys John born 1818 and Norval born 1824 went to the Caledonian School. I heard the military records may hold further details so I can establish this side of family.
If anyone is able to help please let me know
Thanks
Amanda
