i,m new as most people are when they first come on looking for family.My name is michael i,m one of eight kids to arthur cooper who was a cook in the army in gibraltar. he married my mum lottie cooper whoes maidden name was hitchman and came from chesterfield uk.dad was born on 1/5/1921 and past away 5/2/1994 lottie my mum was born 5/8/1921 away 10/12/1994. i,m new to this so please bare with me and any help will be great fully recieved yours sincerly me. i will be up datting family tree soon when i get more in fo but at moment thats all i have to go on please some one

Hi Michael,
Your Mothers' birth registration;
Lottie Hitchman 3rd qtr 1921 Chesterfield..mmn King.

There are quite a few Arthur Coopers in 2nd qtr 1921...any idea if he had a middle name or where he was born?

Do you have your parents birth and/or wedding certificates? These will give you info on their parents and then you can start searching backwards for their marriage, parents etc.

If you don't have the certs, you can search for the registrations on Ancestry. If you are not a member of Ancestry post the details and someone will try to help. Stay on the board for a while as people usually come up with answers fairly quickly.
