Member Since: February 2008 Posts: 25 Send Message	Hi everyone. My great Grandfather Charles Stanley Turner was born in Wantage Childrey on the 27th April 1905 to a mother Edith Mary Turner. He was illegitimate and as a result given up by his mother. My nan has always said her father was deeply ashamed of being adopted. However his birthcertificate has the same surname he used throught his life, but he changed his first names from Charlie cyril to Charles Stanley and hated being called Charlie. ~If anyone has any information on his mother Edith Mary Turner as im sure she must have gone on to marry and have more children please let me know as all attempts to trace him or his mother have failed over the years and my nanny would dearly love to meet some of her cousins she must have out there.
